Ivy's morning
Ivy really enjoyed her morning at the park. My friend, Amber brought her son, Ryder and a child she babysits to play with Ivy at the park. Ivy had a great time. She played in the sand with her new friend. She also got to be independent, cause her big sisters weren't there. She used her climbing skills to climb up to all the slides. It's so nice to see her being so active now. Then we sat down and had a picnic of snacks, thanks to my friend, Amber. Once again, I forgot to bring snacks. All my friends are so good at that. I must get better at that:) Poor Ivy. LOL. I was so happy to see Ivy eat carrots and apples. I have to admit she is like a chipmunk...eats, nuts and fruit. I love it!!!!:) Then when we came home, Ivy had a yummy , healthy lunch and a nice relaxing bath. You think that would be enough entertainment to make her take a great nap. No such luck! She was not having that! I hope that this isn't the start of no nap times ever again. Ugh!
Since Shane has been home from the hospital, I have been contemplating quitting facebook. I just started to feel like I had to read everyone's posts each day and I would feel bad if I missed a message from someone. Don't get me wrong. This was a great place to post status updates and post photos. But I decided that my blog could be a place where my close family and friends from far and near could check up on the family. It's also nice to have more free time to blog if I am not doing facebook. I can't do both. It was also sad to see friends use facebook as a place to gossip, etc. I really want to start focusing on my family and documenting all these great memories with photos, etc. It's nice to too cause I can print out blog posts with photos for my scrapbooks. This is also something else I am going to start working on again. I really enjoy working on making photo scrapbook albums, and making photo enlargements for all my girls' rooms. I hope to find a friend that wants to take photography lessons with me.:) If you are interested, leave me a comment.:) I look forward to posting some photos of Ivy's first try of a dance class on Saturday. should be interesting:) Leila had her first dance class at HI Def. she loved it:) Post more on that this week. Everybody have a great weekend:)

Taylor Rocked The Karaoke
The other night, Taylor begged us to go to karaoke at Cabo Wabo on the Strip. As soon as she found out from me that 12 year olds can sing karaoke at Cabo Wabo with Jimmy Z Productions, that was it! She is now hooked!! Of course, being a good mom, I have to make sure she is able to perform as much as she can before school starts up again. I'm so excited how much more confidence she has gained since she started vocal lessons again. By the way, her vocal teacher , Jessica is amazing! Taylor definitely has no fear getting on stage. She loves the excitement and the feeling she gets when she's doing what she loves most....SINGING!!! Her enthusiasm is contagious to others as well. I have to admit, I get a little tear in my eye when I see her up there. I keep thinking back to that little baby in the backseat of my car, humming along to all the songs that were being played on the radio. I am a big believer that everyone is born with a talent. Taylor was born to sing and entertain others, and Leila was born to dance and Leila has that x factor thing that attracts people to her. And our little Goldilocks, Ivy continues to amaze us each day. It appears she got the Talent bug from her sisters. She loves to dance, sing, and be very Dramatic!!! Plus, we are thinking Ivy might be our little sports girl. She loves to kick balls and has a mean throw. Who knows, maybe we have a soccer player or softball player in our future? Only time will tell. But for now, I am so happy with how much LOVE for LIFE my girls have. Hectic and crazy at times, but I wouldn't want it any other way:)

Little One Not feeling So Good
Poor Leila. She has had perfect attendance up until today. I should have known something was wrong when she went to bed before 8 last night. This morning, she woke up complaining, "I don't feel well." And me as usual hates when they miss school. So I said, "if you get dressed and showered, you'll feel better." Then while I am making Ivy's favorite breakfast--- eggs with extra garlic salt and shredded colby jack cheese, I hear Leila lift the toilet seat cover. I knew what was coming next. I am so bad with my kids getting sick. Shane's so much better when the kids have the throw ups. Shane's at work though so I'm it. Lucky me!! Ha-Ha:)
So today I have my two littlest with me, Leila and Ivy. But we are confined to the house now. I guess today's a good day to work on Leila's teacher's birthday stuff. Tomorrow he is celebrating his 40th birthday with his students so I thought I would make him my special chocolate frosting cake and decorate his door. We'll see how far I get with that with a busy toddler and a sick child.:)
I am tutoring a child in the mornings now three days a week and I love it cause I get to teach without all the lesson planning and meetings and grading papers, etc. that comes with teaching. I also tutor two other children at night during the week. My business name is on my car now with new lovely magnets. It's called "Once a Teacher Tutoring." Catchy, right?
Last night's dinner was soooo yummy! Hot chili, crescent dinner rolls, and caramel apple cider hot drinks. Every time I think of the drinks I made, I crave another one.
Well it's time to clean up before my tutoring student gets here. Leila's liking that she gets to cuddle on couch today.:)
